Gas water heater uses the heat from burning a fuel (usually natural gas) to heat water, while an electric water heater uses electric resistance coils. Gas water heaters are less energy efficient than electric heaters, but the cost of electricity itself makes the running costs of an electric heater higher. Gas water heaters also have a much faster recovery rate, which makes them a convenient option
Using a gas option has many benefits, but the most important is the cost! The cost of electricity in South Africa is now very expensive and we all need to conserve and cut costs where possible.
Water heating commercially and residentially consumes high energy costs and the focus has shifted to solar and gas applications.
These geysers are specifically designed to making access to hot water easier at an affordable cost. Gas geysers only use gas when the tap is opened for instant hot water. You will have hot water as long as there is gas in the bottle.

Delta Gas Geysers
As with all our products, we ensure that only the very best quality geysers carry the 'DELTA' name. All geyser production is strictly monitored and quality controlled to ensure absolute safety and top performance. Although our geysers are imported, they are designed to our specifications and exceed all the local Government requirements. We ensure that they are properly tested and that they have the necessary permits.
What you as a customer need to do is to ensure that the installer you use is certified by the LPGQCC - please don't have the wool pulled over you eyes when in comes to the size of the geyser you require, or the type of service it should deliver. Make sure that you are not being 'ripped off' - check around for competitive prices - compare like with like - not all geysers are the same, even though they may look similar.
Your installer may not leave your site without giving you a full demonstration, and ensuring that you know how the system works, and what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency. He must also supply you with a Certificate of Compliance (COC).
Once the installation has been signed off, the continued efficiency and safety of the installation is in your hands - make sure you do regular checks on connections and hoses, keep the installation clean, and do not hesitate to call your installer or local gas dealer if you feel unsure about anything.
And lastly, if you are going to be away from home for any length of time, please close the valve(s) of the cylinder(s) for the time that you are away.
